Sherene Tagharobi

Sherene Tagharobi is a legal fellow at the First Amendment Coalition, a nonprofit public interest organization dedicated to advancing free speech, more open and accountable government, and public participation in civic affairs. Sherene joined FAC from Nixon Peabody, where she represented individuals and businesses in complex litigation and government investigation matters. Sherene also represented pro bono clients in connection with freedom of information, conservation, immigration, and sex trafficking laws.

She earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During law school, Sherene served as a judicial extern for U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner of the Central District of California. Sherene earned her dual B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations, as well as a minor certificate in Spanish, from the University of Southern California.
Before law school, Sherene spent six years as an on-air television news reporter and producer. Her reporting earned an Emmy nomination, among other honors.
