Born and raised in Iran, Paniz Karimpour is a third-year law student at the City University of New York School of Law and an aspiring public defender committed to holistic, client-centered advocacy. She is passionate about fighting for people impacted by the criminal legal system and is excited to join the Colorado Office of the State Public Defender to begin her post-graduate career.

Outside of her legal work, Paniz is building community through IABA, enjoying Persian music, playing tennis, skiing, and hunting for NYC’s next best café!
