Aliyah Kazemaini is a 2L at UCLA School of Law, pursuing a career in intellectual property and entertainment law. She is the founder and president of the Iranian Law Student Association at UCLA and serves as the President of the National Iranian American Law Student Association (NIALSA), working closely with the Iranian American Bar Association to support Iranian-American law students nationwide. Additionally, she is an executive body member and Parliamentarian of UCLA Law’s Student Bar Association. She has gained hands-on experience as a legal intern for Tubi’s in-house counsel, working with the marketing-legal, content-acquisition legal, and IP-legal teams.
Aliyah’s passion for IP law stems from her desire to empower creators, small businesses, and minority-owned enterprises by protecting their ideas and ensuring fair access to opportunities in entertainment and media. She combines her legal education with her advocacy background, having previously led cultural awareness and policy initiatives at UCLA and UC San Diego. Now, she is focused on using the law to support innovation, creativity, and equitable representation in industries that shape culture and influence.
