Salma Sebt is a second-year law student at Columbia Law School, focusing on technology transactions and intellectual property law. She currently serves as the External Vice President of the National Iranian American Law Student Association (NIALSA), where she supports the directors in their organizational duties, oversees board activities, and assisting in strategic planning. As EVP, Salma also acts as a liaison between committees and ensures smooth communication and operation.

Previously, Salma served as the Director of Events for NIALSA, where she fostered collaboration between Iranian-American law students and the Iranian American Bar Association (IABA), while also organizing events to support law and pre-law students of Iranian descent. Additionally, she is a member of the Columbia Journal of European Law.

Before law school, Salma graduated from Chapman University with doouble majors in Philosophy and French. Her passion for advocacy and cultural awareness was evident throughout her undergraduate career, where she served as the Diversity Student Organizations Senator in the Student Government Association. In this role, she worked closely with the university and student organizations to implement Diversity Equity and Inclusion training, added an ethnic studies minor, and create infographics to raise awareness about current events, diverse holidays, and cultural practices to promote an inclusive campus environment. Salma was also a board member of the Iranian Student Cultural Organization at Chapman, furthering her commitment to fostering community and cultural understanding.
