Ida Mahmoudi
Ida is the current Scholarship Chair of the IABA NorCal Chapter. She is an associate at Cooley LLP in San Francisco, practising general business and corporate law, with an emphasis on representing and counselling emerging companies and their investors through all stages of the business life cycle. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from McGill University, and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Ottawa in Canada. Prior to Cooley, she was an associate at a major Bay Street law firm in Toronto. With a keen interest in championing diverse voices, Ida has held numerous leadership positions within various community organizations, and has served as a Special Ambassador to the former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, as well as the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, Jody Wilson-Raybould. During freer times, Ida is a musician, snowboarder, and avid football (soccer) fan. She has performed the flute twice at Carnegie Hall, and enjoys composing minimalist pieces for piano performance.
