Maryam Jahedi founded Maryam Jahedi Law Firm in 2012. Her law practice focuses on Criminal Defense, International and Sanctions Law (OFAC and SEC related representation), and Entertainment Law. She is admitted to practice law in New York State, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Maryam Jahedi is an alumna of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College where she obtained extensive training on trial advocacy. She earned her Juris Doctorate from University of Sydney, Sydney Law School with concentration in criminal law and international law. Previously to that, she obtained her B.A. from University of British Columbia, majoring in Economics.
Maryam Jahedi serves as a New York Delegate to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division House of Assembly. She is also a member of American Bar Association, New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York State Bar Association, Iranian American Bar Association, and Metropolitan Black Bar Association. Her self-help book, “You’ve Been Arrested: Now What?” was published by the Parker Press Inc. in 2016.
