Mila Afshar is a recent law school graduate. Mila is a first-generation immigrant. She completed her MBA while she was living in Sweden. Driven by the passion to give a powerful voice to the voiceless people, Mila decided to pursue a legal degree. After moving to the United States, she received two years of pre-law education and graduated with the highest honors. Mila attended Western State College of Law in Orange County, California where she graduated with honors and received her Juris Doctor degree in 2020.
During law school Mila received the Witkin Award of Academic Excellence. She served in a variety of volunteer legal activities including Student Bar Association (Representative), Family Law Society (Vice President), IABA (Representative), Artificial Intelligence Organization (active member), and Business Law Association (active member). In 2018, she completed the International Criminal Law program at the United Nations’ International Criminal Court. Currently, Mila serves as the American Bar Association representative and IABA Orange County Student Director.
In her spare time, Mila is all about staying as active as possible and spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities and is a part-time traveler.
