Sougol Shooshtarian
President

Sougol is an associate in DLA Piper’s emerging companies and venture capital group, counseling high-growth cleantech and technology companies on corporate governance, venture capital and growth equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining DLA Piper, Sougol practiced in-house at two startups. Sougol is currently the President of the Iranian American Bar Association Northern California Chapter (IABA NorCal). She has been involved with IABA NorCal for the past nine years in various capacities. A first-generation Iranian American, Sougol was born in Iran, lived and worked in Qatar, and studied in London before relocating to the US in 2014 to qualify as an attorney and practice law in California. 

Sougol received her LLM from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law and her LLB from King’s College London.
