Saman Golestan
National Representative

Saman Golestan is an Assistant City Attorney with the City of Peoria in the Civil Litigation Division handling all types of civil matters for the City. Prior, Saman specialized in election law including voting rights and voter initiative cases. He litigated major statewide ballot initiatives at trial and before the Arizona Supreme Court including Arizonans for Fair Wages and Healthy Families (2016) and Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona (2018). He also practiced employment and labor law as well administrative law.   

Saman was named a Top Lawyer by Phoenix Magazine in 2024, Next Generation of Legal Leaders by Phoenix Business Journal in 2021, and a Rising Star by his peers via Superlawyers in 2018 and 2019. Saman graduated from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU where he received awards for his oral advocacy including membership in the Order of Barristers.  

In addition to his work with IABA, Saman is the President of the Arizona Persian Cultural Center, and serves on the Maricopa County Bench/Bar Committee. In his free time, Saman enjoys dance, travel, and spending time with his family.
