Ryen is a litigator at Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP. He previously was a law clerk to Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald of the Supreme Court of Hawai’i.
Ryen earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A., summa cum laude, in history and political science. While in law school, he served as President of the Middle Eastern and North African Law Students Association, as a student attorney for the International Human Rights Clinic and the Immigration and Refugee Clinic, and as a research assistant for the Program on International Law and Armed Conflict. In his spare time, Ryen is a musician and enjoys exploring the Bay Area’s diverse music scenes.
