Veeda Mashayekh is a 3rd year law student at Georgia State University College of Law. She received her B.A. degree at Georgia State University where she majored in Political Science and Minored in Philosophy. Veeda is currently Georgia State’s 3L Pro Bono Class Representative since her second year of law school. Further, she serves as the 3L-Part Time Student Body Association’s Senator where she oversees and keeps the student body involved in day-to-day news all things social and academic at Georgia State College of Law. Veeda has participated in Georgia State’s Equal Employment Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Mock Trial. After that, she became an active member in Georgia State’s Student Trial Lawyers Association. She competed in the 202 National All Star Bracket Championship, where her team placed 2nd place regionally and 5th place nationally. After that, she also competed in the 2021 National Trial Competition. Veeda also is participating in GSU’s HeLP Legal Clinic, where she helps represent low income clients in cases, such as Supplemental Security Income cases, and address the multiple determinants of the healthcare system. She is expected to graduate in January, 2022, where she hopes to practice medical malpractice, physician defense.
