
Arian Zand
Student Co Chair
Arian Zand is a JD candidate and Business Law Scholar at Georgetown Law, where he is an editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law, a fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law, and a competitor on Georgetown Law’s WTO Moot Court Team.
He holds an MA from the University of Chicago, specializing in International Political Economy and Economics of Market Regulation, and a BA (Hons.) summa cum laude from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
Arian’s practice areas of interest include international trade, arbitration and dispute settlement, multi-jurisdictional antitrust, and corporate and regulatory compliance.
Born and raised in Iran, Arian cherishes his cultural heritage by reading Persian literature, cooking Persian food, and exploring Iranian art and history. More than a decade after leaving his homeland of Iran, Arian remains an avid reader of the lyrical ghazals of Hafez, dramatic epics of Ferdowsi, and elegant prose of Saadi and Bayhaqi.
Arian is thrilled to join IABA to connect with Iranian-American attorneys as well as other bar associations and their members.
