Yasmin Karimi

Yasmin joined Imagine Entertainment in 2018 as Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs, where she was responsible for establishing the company’s business and legal affairs department. Yasmin works across all of the company’s divisions, including feature films, scripted television, documentaries and kids & family from development through production and exhibition. Her work is centered around finding innovative ways to structure and negotiate agreements in today’s fast-changing and increasingly digital media environment.

Prior to joining Imagine, Yasmin was Senior Director of Business & Legal Affairs at Levity Entertainment Group, where she oversaw the company’s diverse range of legal issues, including television development and production agreements, intellectual property licensing, construction and operation of restaurants and live venues and talent management.  Previously, she practiced transactional entertainment law at the law firm Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, focusing on independent film financing. Prior to her work in law, Yasmin conducted social development research and analysis at the World Bank in Washington, DC.

Yasmin earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in Nashville, TN and her B.A., magna cum laude, in Honors Political Economy from New York University in New York, NY. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court in the Central District of California.
